All Scotch whisky is matured in oak for its strength and beneficial compounds, with flavour shaped by the species of oak, the level of toasting, and the cask’s previous use; in keeping with our tradition, seasoned casks are favoured to develop depth, balance, and colour without overwhelming the spirit. As well as full maturation, we specialise in re-racking spirit in fresh active casks.
